While reading the description of Gaza by Sara Roy, I wondered if this has been personally delivered to President Obama.

While reading the description of Gaza by Sara Roy, I wondered if this has been personally delivered to President Obama. Not that he does not have the means to access the information, but to bring it personally to his attention and the implications contained as to the US complicity in the crimes against humanity that is Gaza. I am ashamed of American involvement in the crimes against humanity represented by the attacks upon an unarmed people in Gaza.

One has to imagine average German citizens deadpanning much in the way that New York's Mr. Kosberg does about "blame."

One has to imagine average German citizens deadpanning much in the way that New York's Mr. Kosberg does about "blame":

"Regarding the pitiful situation in (Auschwitz, Birkenau, etc), your finger of blame is pointing in the wrong direction.... The Jewish citizens of the Vaterland were given fair warning to decamp.... The conditions within the concentration camps is a direct result of..."

Thank you to Sara Roy for a lucid account of the grandest ongoing war crime of modern times--one sanctioned by the American government in continuation of colonialism and empire.

Regarding the pitiful situation in Gaza, your finger of blame is pointing in the wrong direction. As I recall, the Israelis unilaterally withdrew from Gaza several years ago, only to see the strip turned into a launch pad for thousands of rockets fired and targeted at Israeli civilians. Those who chose violence are paying the price for building bombs instead of schools.

I would like to thank the author for drawing attention to a desperate situation. The Palestinian people require even more help than the Haitians, as they have been in an earthquake for sixty-one years.

Thanks again to The Nation for having the integrity to publish this article. There isn't another journal that can compare to you and your contributors.
