Despite the claims of private-sector shock doctors, the answer is not neoliberal reform and the rollback of regulations but rather grassroots efforts and progressive policies. Nation contributor and award-winning journalist Naomi Klein spoke in New York recently on the importance of involving communities—not corporations—in reconstruction efforts.
