In the face of mounting job losses and declining consumer spending,
Senate Republicans continue to dilute and delay the stimulus package the
Obama administration and most economists believe is necessary to
jumpstart the sputtering US economy. Rachel Maddow accuses the members
of Republican party, which is pushing for increased tax cuts over more
efficacious measures like increased funding for infrastructure or food
stamps, of trying “to get your ‘what would Ronald Reagan do?’
ideological dance card punched… at the expense of your country.”
