Occupy Wall Street: The Most Important Thing in the World Now | The Nation

Email Address:

Oil company greed is killing the American recovery

This movement should also include the exposure of the oil companies (Exxon, Chevron, BP etc.) for increasing oil prices in 2008 and 2011 while Americans faced great financial crises and it has been difficult for them to put food on the table. The oil companies have made the greatest profits in corporate history in 2008 and all through the present depression. In fact, the oil companies have always made profits during all American depressions and recessions. More than Wall Street, the exposure of the oil companies’ greed, subsidized by the American people, should be exposed and stopped and should be the focus of this movement.
