Taring Padi Taring Padi was formed by a group of men and women artists in 1998 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. As a progressive cultural organization, Taring Padi outlined its mission to revive “People’s Culture,” and to advocate and strategize for a united front supporting democratic and popular change in Indonesia.
