I apologize for a petty criticism about an otherwise fine article, but I believe one should not say of an uncaring Administration that it "could care less" about North and South Korea. The proper expression is "could not care less." This means that it cares so little that it could not possibly care any less than it does, which is surely what the writer means to say. To say that it could care less sounds almost like a suggestion that it cares too much.

I feel somewhat responsible for this error, since I hear it mostly among people who are my age (41) and younger.
