Super Bowl III changed the NFL forever. Through the '80s and '90s the Super Bowl and, even more, its pregame festivities slowly morphed into what they are today, a grotesque orgy of unbridled commercialism. But for Mr. Zirin to say that this was "the most jaw-dropping, gut-twisting" Super Bowl ever, one wonders if he missed last year's classic Giants vs. Patriots?
