Italy's New Racism > Letters

I'm Italian and I'm 19. I read this article in Internazionale, a magazine that reprints articles from the most famous newspapers in the world. When a news story sells, everybody talks about it, and this is what is happening in my country. Lately we've heard about many cases of sexual abuse and robberies committed by immigrants. This has contributed to the actions of those stupid men who beat up Emmanuel Bonsu Foster. I hope that nobody thinks of Italians as racists. Those policemen should stay in prison, like anybody else who breaks the law. But frequently offenses are not punished; this is the real Italian problem: punishment is not assured. Please talk about real problems, and don't accuse an entire nation. Italians are still "brava gente"; stupid and crazy people are everywhere.
