Amy Taub's commentary commentary is the perfect example of why Democrats are slipping in the polls. The employment problem is totally about the offshoring of manufacturing and the outsourcing of service jobs.

That is what has led to declining wages, which have in turn caused borrowing to increase and lending standards to decline, period.

Democrats just don't want to address that reality. They keep looking for some other, easier problem to solve. Well, it ain't gonna happen. The people are well aware of the source of their economic misery. You can hear it on C-SPAN's Washington Journal every morning of the week.

It's time to stop hiding from the trade issue and take the bull by the horns. Don't encourage the milquetoast Democrats to distract themselves with this other bullshit.

What makes the average "illegal" attractive to employers is that such workers are easily exploited and cheated. If you're an illegal immigrant and your boss decides to short-change you--or for that matter, to not pay you at all--what are you going to do about it?

In a post-welfare America, after thousands upon thousands of our jobs have been outsourced to foreign countries (since the '80s), I must also question the wisdom of giving scarce jobs to "illegals." So many Americans are in desperate poverty today, and this is a terrible country in which to find yourself poor and in need of help.
