Descendants of American Southerners don Confederate uniforms to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War in Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, Brazil. As many as 10,000 Southerners relocated to Brazil during Reconstruction. Each year, their descendants throw the elaborate Festa dos Confederados.
