During his campaign, President Obama argued that the United States needed to transfer the fight from Iraq to Afghanistan in order to capture Osama bin Laden. However, as the former Soviet Union occupation details, achieving victory in the area is difficult and costly. Voices from academia to the DC beltway warn the Obama administration to rethink Afghanistan.
