If, like me, you’ve been feeling immobilized by the degree to which the presidential campaign has become something of a painful burlesque, in other news, here’s a happier tidbit:
Yesterday, Chris posted a link to Edward Frawley’s YouTube video that documented the abysmal conditions his son has to endure at Fort Bragg. Today, Frawley tells CNN that “a lot” has been done in recent weeks to fix up the barracks, and that Army Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Dick Cody has personally called him to promise that the situation would be addressed.
(The military, however, refuses to contribute to the cost of housing for troops who would like to live elsewhere until the job’s done.)
