The Indianapolis Colts announced today that after fourteen years together, the team is letting Peyton Manning go. The news provoked an outcry from fans, but as The Nation’s sportswriter Dave Zirin argued on NewsNation with Tamson Hall today, it actually warrants more than just an angry reaction. The news should spark a deeper look at money, loyalty and hypocrisy in American sports.
