This morning on Democracy Now!, John Nichols explained why Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker kept his distance from Republican presidential contenders during his state’s primary. Because he faces a recall election, said Nichols, "Walker has to reach out to moderates and independent voters if he’s going to have any chance whatsoever of hanging on to his job. So he doesn’t need to be seen with candidates who are running far to the right on social issues and on economic issues."
