Video: Gaza, the Goldstone Report and the Crisis of Impunity

When the Goldstone report was released in September 2009, it called on both Israel and Hamas to investigate war crimes committed during the 2008-09 invasion of Gaza. Quickly denounced by Israel, the report has had a lasting effect in legitimizing international demands for accountability for abuses that occurred during Operation Cast Lead.

On May 19, The Nation's Naomi Klein joined Noura Erakat, Lizzy Ratner, Trudie Styler and Col. Desmond Travers on a panel moderated by Laura Flanders and hosted by The Culture Project and Mondoweiss for a conversation about the ongoing impact of the report on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict and how to foster an environment of accountability in the region.
