Squires, of the recently published Warfare Welfare: The Not-So-Hidden Costs of America’s Permanent War Economy (Potomac Books 2012). He is a former member of President John F. Kennedy's National Security Council staff and the co-founder of the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, DC.
