Cameron Oglesby is a youth environmental justice advocate, oral historian, ecologist, consultant, and award-winning journalist who is passionate about the integration of community-driven, place-based narratives in conservation, environmental policy, corporate decision-making, and the media. She is a Master of Public Policy Candidate at Duke, an Uproot Project Environmental Justice Fellow, a Public Voices Fellow on the Climate Crisis, a McKinsey Achievement Award recipient, and a Memorial Foundation Social Justice Fellow. She is also an Associate Editor at Earth in Color, a creative studio created to affirm the deep-rooted connections between Black culture and nature, a member of the Editorial team at The Margin, a platform focused on telling environmental justice stories, and her work has appeared in the environmental news outlets Grist, Southerly, Scalawag, and Environmental Health News.
