Defending Rumsfeld, Bush says Rummy’s great,
That as a planner he has been first rate–
Respected in the White House and the ranks.
The same is true, of course, of Tommy Franks,
For he and Tenet and, yes, Bremer, too,
Got medals as they bid their jobs adieu.
And Bush, whose orders all these men obeyed,
Can’t think of one mistake he might have made.
So everyone involved’s a crackerjack.
