Chalmers Johnson, whose groundbreaking work on American empire helped define the post-9/11 era, has died at 79. Frank W. Lewis, ace codebreaker and beloved weekly crossword master for The Nation, died on November 18 at age 98. You can find out more on The Nation's new Lived History page.
