Mari Faines is the manager of external affairs and coalitions at Democracy Forward. She previously advised on strategic communications and congressional strategy at the US State Department’s Office of the AUKUS Senior Advisor, and held leadership roles at Global Zero and Physicians for Social Responsibility focused on nuclear nonproliferation and social justice. She holds an MSc from SOAS University of London and a BA from Colgate University.
