Lisa Holmes connects organizations from multiple sectors (agriculture, community-based/grassroots NGOs, economic investment and philanthropy) to leverage their respective capacities to create infrastructure and programmatic initiatives that promote local and regional food systems. Working to create the nation’s first seafood hub in New Haven with GreenWave, Lisa also serves as President of the Board of CitySeed in New Haven, CT, which operates five neighborhood farmers markets, a mobile market, and a number of city and state-wide initiatives that seek to engage the community in growing an equitable, local food system. A steering committee member of the Working Lands Alliance in Connecticut, a project of the American Farmland Trust, she also serves on the board of Pleiades, a network that recognizes and advances women’s leadership in creating a more sustainable world.
