What really happened on Capitol Hill this week, and a look ahead to the budget battles on the horizon. 

As the US dusts itself off from falling off the fiscal cliff, it’s time to take stock of who won and lost in Congress’s latest compromise. The results were mixed: unemployment benefits were extended, but a lack of stimulus spending means the job crisis will continue. Nation writers George Zornick and Bryce Covert host Jamelle Bouie of The American Prospect and Pat Garofalo of ThinkProgress.org to break down what really happened on Capitol Hill this week, and look ahead to the budget battles yet to come.
