They’re asking now, “Wherefore Al Gore?” They’re thinking now, “Should we explore A few alternatives before We find too late we’ve bet the store And stuck ourselves forevermore With someone whom we don’t abhor But find–well, though with gifts galore And talents that we can’t ignore And children we could all adore And, so we’re told, a great rapport With folks in smallish groups, say four Or three or maybe two–a bore?”

And late at night they ask themselves, quite madly, “You think it’s just too late to get Bill Bradley?”
