The Bain-owned Sensata Technologies is moving its factory from Freeport, Illinois, to China—and taking 165 US jobs with it. Under Romney’s proposed tax plan, it would be even easier for companies to ship jobs overseas. “Mitt Romney is the architect of outsourcing,” said Freeport mayor George Gaulrupp. Nation writer John Nichols joins Gaulrupp and protesting Freeport workers on MSNBC’s The Ed Show to show why the US can’t afford Romney’s profit-over-people policies.
