Natalia Rachel Singer is the author of Scraping by in the Big Eighties, a memoir. Her fiction and nonfiction have been published in Harper’s, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The American Scholar, Ms., Creative Nonfiction, and many other literary journals. She has just completed a novel about France, love, friendship, and politics and is at work on another memoir. She teaches creative writing and environmental literature at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
