Maria Espinoza (pseudonym) is a Mexican physician specializing in women’s sexual and reproductive health in the state of Morelos, where abortion is prohibited with some exceptions. For more than 20 years she has helped women assert their rights to make decisions regarding the “autonomous territory” of their bodies.
