Leighton Akio Woodhouse is a journalist and award-winning documentary filmmaker. His stories have appeared in The Nation, The Intercept, Gawker, The New Republic, VICE News, Newsweek, In These Times, Fusion, and The Awl. He has created short documentaries for The Intercept, The Nation, KQED, and Participant Media, and directed the Emmy-nominated feature documentary Trumpland for the Fusion Network. He has a Master’s Degree in Sociology from UC Berkeley.
