Erika Harrsch works in painting, sculpture, and multimedia installations that are the result of a collaborative pursuit in which the creative energy of performers, musicians, and researchers coalesce. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally. She was born in Mexico City and for the past two decades has been based in New York. The New York Times covered her 2013 installation, “United States of North America Passport,” which “envision[ed]] a borderless North American continent…and encourage[d] museum visitors to apply for a passport that [would] make them citizens.”
