Eileen Burgess was awarded a scholarship to the School of Visual Arts and has an MFA from Brooklyn College. Her recent work has been featured in Artist Portfolio magazine, and has been exhibited at Art Essex Gallery in Westport, Conn., and the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance.
She helped organize the Montgomery Bus Boycott, fought for voting rights and fair housing, and helped lead the effort to integrate schools in New Jersey.
