David Plunkert is a graphic designer and illustrator from Baltimore, Md.  His clients include: USPS, They Might be Giants, Patton Oswalt, the Criterion Collection, and Penguin Random House. His work has been featured in many magazines and newspapers and exhibited around the world. In 2018 his August 28, 2017, cover for The New Yorker titled “Blowhard” was named Magazine Cover of the Year by the American Society of Magazine Editors.
