Alfred González, born in 1962 and raised in Spanish Harlem, has been a photographer since the age of 16. His photographs are in the permanent collections of the Barack Obama Presidential Library/National Archives, the Center for Creative Photography/University of Arizona, the 9/11 Memorial Museum, New York City, the New York Historical Society, and El Museo del Barrio. He is the owner of Gallery 71, established 1994.
