Alberto C. Medina is the president of Boricuas Unidos en la Diáspora, a national organization of Puerto Ricans who advocate for decolonization and sovereignty. He writes regularly about Puerto Rico’s status on his Substack, Free Puerto Rico, and his book of the same name will be published in 2027 by The New Press.
