Egyptians may have voted in a historic presidential election last month, but questions and unresolved problems abound about the country’s government, economy and society. Stephen Glain, longtime contributor to The Nation and veteran Middle East correspondent, joins editor Roane Carey in this week’s podcast to discuss issues at the heart of Egypt’s uncertain future, including economic reforms and the role of the deep state, which, despite the revolution, still controls Egypt.
