While the gains of the past several decades have seen the LGBTQ community gain legal standing when it comes to marriage and the military, the radical nature of the movement’s early emphasis on sexuality and desire is too often ignored. Amber L. Hollibaugh of Queers for Economic Justice explains to Laura Flanders that until we can embrace sexuality as part of our political discourse, we will not be able to seek an agenda of true economic and political equality.
