Join us on September 19 for an event featuring Kai Bird, the Pulitzer Prize–winning biographer and author of American Prometheus, the book that inspired the hit film Oppenheimer.

Bird will be in conversation with Nation Editorial Director and Publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel and Editor D.D. Guttenplan on Oppenheimer, the context of the Manhattan Project and the Cold War, and how and why J. Robert Oppenheimer’s legacy remains relevant today.

This virtual discussion will include ample time for audience questions and comment. Free of charge; registration required.
