Alice Lovejoy is author of the award-winning book Army Film and the Avant Garde: Cinema and Experiment in the Czechoslovak Military (2015) and, most recently, Tales of Militant Chemistry: The Film Factory in a Century of War (2025). She is a professor of film and media studies at the University of Minnesota.
