In a surprise appearance at Denver’s Central Presbyterian Church today, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, fresh off a flight from Washington, DC, made an impassioned appeal for Barack Obama’s candidacy. He argued that we’re experiencing “a mountaintop moment in America’s history, and explained how his mentor, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., “would be delighted and overjoyed over Barack’s accomplishments.” He was introduced by The Nation‘s John Nichols. Listen here:
