Chris Hayes, Washington editor of The Nation, guests on Countdown with Keith Olbermann to discuss how Wall Street reform legislation has left the GOP "party of no" suddenly becoming the party of "let’s make a deal." Hayes explains the political move plain and simple. "I mean, we did have the biggest financial crisis we’ve had since the Great Depression," he says. "The banks are not very popular–and being associated with them is politically problematic. And I don’t think it’s a whole lot more complicated than that."

Hayes adds that whereas with healthcare reform the White House began with a conciliatory stance and Republicans responded with aggression, this time the White House started with aggression and Republicans responded more agreeably–a lesson we should not forget.
