The National Academy of Sciences is responsible for making “evidence-based revisions” to the national school lunch and breakfast programs every five years before they are renewed by Congress and the USDA. With over $10 billion at play each year, these programs are of great interest to more than just concerned parents. ANP asks if a meeting where junk food lobbyists outnumber scientists can really be considered a “scientific conference?”
