Mayra Cotta is a Brazilian lawyer, writer, and feminist scholar specializing in gender and women’s rights. A PhD candidate in politics at the New School, she researches the family, power, and the work of sustaining social life. She is the author of Mulher, Roupa, Trabalho: como se veste a desigualdade de gênero and the novel Um Ex-amigo, and previously served as a special adviser to the Brazilian presidency.
