Brea Baker

Brea Baker is a writer and activist with a BA in political science from Yale University. Her first book, Rooted: The American Legacy of Land Theft & The Modern Movement for Black Land Ownership, makes another case for reparations and has been celebrated in The New Yorker, The Guardian, Apple Books, The New York Times, iHeart Radio’s The Breakfast Club, and Ms. Magazine, and was selected as the Black Caucus of the American Library Association’s 2024 Nonfiction Honor Book.
