Gary Orfield is a professor of education and social policy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Kennedy School of Government, and co-director of the Civil Rights Project at Harvard University. He co-edited Religion, Race and Justice in a Changing America (Century Foundation) and Chilling Admissions: The Affirmative Action Crisis and the Search for Alternatives (HEPG), and is currently co-editing a book on high-stakes testing. He is the co-author, with Susan E. Eaton, of Dismantling Desegregation (New Press).
