Dorothy Canfield Fisher

Dorothy Canfield Fisher, novelist and critic, served in various volunteer capacities during both world wars--in the first war largely as a relief worker in France, in the second through her contributions to magazines and the Office of War Information. Her only son, Captain James Canfield Fisher, was killed in action in Luzon.
