On Democracy Now!, The Nation‘s Honduras correspondent Dana Frank reveals the horrific details and injustices of the prison fire that killed more than 350 inmates—many of whom burned to death in their cells—in Honduras on Tuesday. For half an hour, police refused to allow firefighters into the prison, in just one example of the many miscarriages of justice that occurred. Frank also delves into the complicated topic of America’s support for an extremely corrupt post-coup Honduras.

Frank’s article "Honduras in Flames" can be found here.
