Elana Leopold, a product of the New York City public school system, is an editorial intern with The Nation. A recent Bates College graduate, she previously interned with the  Flavorpill editorial team and with the Center For American Progress' Faith and Progressive Policy Initiative. In addition to K-12 education, her interests include inter-religious conflict resolution and US relations with the Arab world and Islam.
