Assistant Web Editor

The Nation seeks an Assistant Web Editor. This is a full-time, entry-level position working out of our New York City offices. Applicants should have excellent news judgment, possess strong copy editing, photo editing and web production skills, and thrive under deadline pressure. The hire will assist the Web Editor in producing web and multimedia packages for The Nation and curating TheNation.com, will oversee intern fact-checkers, will help develop new editorial features, and will handle social media and community responsibilities. Enthusiasm, demonstrated research and writing ability and experience with web-based media projects essential. Our ideal candidate will have a strong design sense, knowledge of software development and competency with HTML and CSS. The Nation offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
