I’ve been live-blogging OWS here daily since October 1.  Email: epic1934@aol.com All times ET.  My new e-book  is "40 Days That Shook the World: From Occupy Wall Street to Occupy Everywhere."  Most of my other books here. .

—-Go HERE for the Wednesday edition of this blog.

8:45 OWS in NY holding first indoor GA tonight…many OWSers showing up for Oakland council meeting tonight.

7:05 OccupyHarvard targeting financial institutions, as they should…

5:00 Full list of Occupy camps still open around USA via FDL– they can find 61, and add brief notes.  (Anchorage: Igloos!)

4:50  My former assistant here, Kevin Gosztola, on Adrian Lamo’s testimony at the Bradley Manning hearing today, from the scene.

2:50 Today’s song pick for OWS (a daily feature since Oct. 1): one of the great vocal performances, Leadbelly, "Nobody Knows You When You’re Down and Out."

2:40  New piece here at The Nation:  Did OWS pick wrong target in Trinity?  Was Saturday’s action, and move to re-occupy right now, a "waste of time"?

2:35  The super-rich are sick of taking shit from you and are going on the offensive, or should we say, More Offensive.  You can believe it’s true, because it comes from Bloomberg.

2:15  It’s everywhere: My county in generally well-off  area) is now hiking property taxes 30%, hiking sales tax AND laying off hundreds of workers.

1:00  I’ve covered this a couple times but now here’s more on the OccupyTheIowaCaucus drive…. A top TV news host I know told me recently that he’s convinced Dems will regret having convention in Charlotte next summer–a banking capital and sure to be big OWS target.

12:25  In San Antonio eviction, police not only arrested many — also threw away toys collected for needy.

11:30 From Slate:  New "Civil Unrest" LEGO set, police vs OWS, "complete with Zuccotti Park smell." Below:

9:40 Eviction in San Antonio yesterday, with 5 arrests.   Remember the Alamo!… Video of fiery Denver raid.

8:45  How you can help overturn Citizens United–and a case history…..

8:30  Who was the original OWS type protester?  Hint: birthday soon and yes, Tebow loves him.

8:05 Dramatic photos from Denver eviction (one at left),  lot of flames and smoke and more.

7:50  Robert Reich at Huff Post: It’s not the SIZE of government that’s the issue but WHO it’s for…. OWSers right now protesting the closing of venerable Washington Irving High in NYC.

7:15 Full piece and dramatic photo in Denver Post on midnight eviction of camp there, leading to shelters set ablaze in freezing cold, activists take to the streets, some arrests.  City had demanded exit earlier in day.  There was "police shoving protestors and journalists alike with their batons, but it appeared only one protestor was taken into custody." Police claim: "officers had hoped to ask the protestors a final time to remove their belongings, but when two prostestors began setting the shelters aflame, officers and firefighters had to move it."  Campers supposedly "Tebowed" as police lined up.  "Police said two protestors were arrested on arson charges and two were arrested on charges of failing to obey a lawful order."

7:10  In my daily offer this week:  My e-book "Why Obama Won–and Lessons for 2012" is FREE today (also available, not free, in print).

3:00 Occupy Denver raided, bulldozed.  Unclear if many arrests.  Livestream below.  BELOW at 7 am: livestream now showing Egypt or other sites.

12:05  Dean Baker: Obama’s stimulus failure.   BTW, the Occupy Iowa Caucus group is urging Dems to vote "uncommitted there" rather than vote for Obama…. My wife got one of those now infamous "robo-calls" today urging a challenge to Obama from….Hillary.

From late Monday

8:30  Yes, there’s an Occupy the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena (former home of Upton Sinclair) and Cornel West just backed it.

7:55 For today’s song pick of the day for OWS, here for 2nd or 3rd time is one of my favorite videos, in honor of the Springsteen piece at Wash Post (see below): With Tom Morello, "Ghost of Tom Joad."

7:00  I linked earlier to Wash Post special feature and gallery featuring Bruce Springsteen, a new book and photos from the "heartland."   Now they have posted excerpts from his intro to that book here.   Sample:  " Men and women struggling to take care of their own in the most impossible conditions and still moving on, surviving. As we tuck our children into bed at night, this is an America many of us fail to see, but it is a part of the country we live in, an increasing part. I believe a place and a people are judged not just by their accomplishments, but also by their compassion and sense of justice. In the future, that’s the frontier where we will all be tested. How well we do will be the America we leave behind for our children and grandchildren."

5:26 Upcoming Batman "Dark Knight" sequel appears to have partial "income inequality" theme, if this trailer, below, can be believed.  We all remember that Christopher Nolan filmed some scenes very close to Zuccotti Park at the height of the camping.  (And OWS then borrowed the Bat Signal.) The trailer find Anna Hathaway, aka Catwoman, whispering that Bruce Wayne and his one percenters have lived too "large " for too long and left little "for the rest of us" but now — "your day is coming."  Robin the rich?

3:15  AP’s annual survey of news editor on top ten stories of the year places Occupy movement only 9th.   #1 is death of Osame.  Also above Occupy: Arab spring, fall of Gaddafi, Fukushima, Penn State scandal, more.

3:05  Woody Guthrie’s New Year’s resolutions, 1942.  A few that might seem apt to OWSers:  "WORK MORE AND BETTER.  WRITE A SONG A DAY.  READ LOTS GOOD BOOKS. LEARN PEOPLE BETTER.  KEEP RANCHO CLEAN.  DON’T GET LONESOME. STAY GLAD.  KEEP HOPING MACHINE RUNNING. DREAM GOOD. HAVE COMPANY BUT DON’T WASTE TIME. LOVE EVERYBODY. MAKE UP YOUR MIND. WAKE UP AND FIGHT."

12:05 Rightwing author Tom Clancy is planning a video game for giant Ubisoft that pictures (seemingly) Occupy type protesters as urban terrorists.  It’s titled "Rainbow 6: Patriots" and you can read the details and see screen shots here.  Also, some of the vivid "footage" has been leaked and you can see the trailer below.

10:50  Video of the day for sure: OccupyHarvard wraps some Xmas gifts for those on its "naughty" not nice list, including Larry Summers, Robert Rubin, Niall Ferguson–then delivers them to their offices with comic results.  Note: They are still occupying The Yard.   And see poster below.
