In a January poll, 88 percent of likely voters said a candidate’s position on poverty was important in deciding their vote. But you wouldn’t know it from the last presidential debate, when not a single question directly addressed Romney or Obama’s policy on poverty. Nation blogger Greg Kaufmann joins Nicole Sandler, as she fills in on the Thom Hartmann Program, to call on presidential candidates to finally stand up for the poorest citizens of the world’s richest country.
