Sarah Palin, the youngest and first woman to serve as governor
of Alaska, enjoys huge approval numbers--but
something is
rotten in Juneau. Her short tenure is already clouded by ethics
investigations, the most prominent of which involves the
firing of a state
trooper ostensibly because of a personal grudge. These local
scandals coupled with her
lack of
experience (she was elected to her first term in 2006) are deemed by
most pundits as sufficient to rule her out as a potential national
candidate.
