Sorry - Guess I'm "old school" but having my president (I voted for him) appear on late night TV to promote policy seems cheap and not really "presidental" I know, I know it is how it is done now, but I did not like it when Clinton and Bush made appearences either

I just don't really care...I like that he's this visible--it's such a 180 from the last administration. I'd rather this than the alternative, I s'pose!

He said nothing new or newsworthy. He dilutes the impact and becomes just another politician. John Froelich

This is the proper response to massively publicized, vitriolic misrepresentation on the right. Become an omnipresent, calm intelligence. The right is bringing guns to a chess match, and this only emphasizes the point.

Iwould love to see him have a weekly/monthly chat on whatever media would give him time for. How about weekly chat with Obama and Sebelius on the progress of health care reform until they, (i.e. congress, senate) pass something. This man, Obama is, in fact, intelligennt enough to do a nightly show without ever being over exposed. It is, however, to the opposition advantage to muzzle our man

The message of all these appearances is, "I'm here, I'm not going away, I'm not giving up, and I will push this little booger through if it's the LAST thing I do." If he's going to go down, in other words, he'll go down swinging. This is bully-pulpitting in the electronic age. Bully for him, I say!

Barack Obama should have a fireside chat format going in these tough times for the economy. That means the government should procure air time just for that purpose. Maybe an impartial moderator or someone like Bill Moyers who is not partisan should be there as well. No shouting of "you lie" please. The people of America can figure that out for themselves.

He has to take some kind of action to reach people who only see screaming birthers on the news.

The President is smart for consistently repeating what he is trying to get across. Repetition breeds comfort. Since the right wing is trying to scare everyone into believing the misrepresentations they present, Obama is wise to come out, take up all of the available air time, and present a consistent and calm argument for his case...across all available medium. Where can the right go to combat this? Faux News is their only outlet at the moment. As an independent, I am 100% in support of the public plan and reform in general...as long as we can pay for it. I am not opposed to paying higher taxes if I can then know that my family is protected...job or no job.

His roots as a community organizer show through in his non-stop effort to communicate the message. He needs to stop campaigning and get to the "many details" he said needed to be worked out. Our nation wants a better healthcare solution. Even conservatives want a better solution. We all know we need reform...the devil is in the details. So get to work! David Letterman does not have the answers to the tough questions of how this reform will be defined and paid for.
